Crockery

What difference does it make what crockery you use? A very good question. If you want to serve the absolute best cup of coffee, it is important that you think beyond just what you pour into the cup, you also need to think about the cup you serve the coffee in. It's important to think about is the shape, heat and use. Here we describe why and also guide you to shooting the rights cup for your needs.

The crockery is important when serving coffee. The cups we offer are more robust than ordinary coffee cups and should be heated on the cup warmer of the espresso machine. The drink maintains the right temperature when it flows into the cup. If the cup has not been warmed up on the espresso machine, you can preheat it with a splash from the hot water tap.

The traditional espresso crockery has a tulip shape that we have used ourselves for a long time, but over the years a broader model has emerged with the development of trendy latte art patterns. So we chose to renew our crockery to a more open cup that is better suited for larger patterns and opens up the possibility of more creativity in the coffee culture. We also did research on what more was in demand on the market and listened to the fact that cups in larger sizes were desirable. We decided to make all cups a bit larger and also develop a completely new cup: Love Caffelatte. This new cup is ideal for drinks such as caffe latte, hot chocolate and tea. Currently we have Love in three different sizes: Espresso, Cappucci and Caffelatte.
RIGHT CROCKERY FOR THE BEVERAGE
Espresso - An espresso cup should be able to hold 6-10 cl. If a simple espresso is brewed, the cup should be filled with 2.5 cl of espresso in it. For a double espresso, fill the cup with 5 cl of coffee, which is ideal for the espresso cup Nove. Traditionally, double espresso is served in a cappuccino cup, but with the wider opening of the Novi Espressi, this cups is also perfect for a double. You can also use Novi Espressi for caffè macchiato and cortado.
Cappuccino - Cappuccino cups should hold 15-20 cl for a correct recipe with a single espresso. Our previous tulip-shaped cappuccino cup held 15.5 cl, while Nove Cappucci holds 20. Recipes suitable for these cups are double espresso, caffè macchiato, cortado, cappuccino, flat white, americano and caffè lungo.

Latte - A latte cup should hold at least 25 cl and can exceed 35 cl, but for this size you need more coffee as a base. The latte cup Nove is of a newer trend that coffee drinkers prefer to relax with a cup rather than a traditional glass when enjoying their latte. Love Caffelatte holds 25 cl, which is perfect for larger beverages such as Latte, but also chai latte, caffè mocha, hot chocolate and tea.
