Description
Milan is the fashion and finance capital of Italy. The people there are elegant, well-dressed and constantly on the go. When we developed Rossa, we started from that lifestyle. The coffee has an intense and saturated taste that is elegant and complex. Since it also gives good crema, it has become many baristas' favorite coffee. Perfect for both espresso and caffè latte. Maybe that's why it's been awarded several times.
Second generation roasters at Caffè Morandini ensure that our Rossa is roasted to perfection in beautiful Brescia, Lombardy, which rests quietly between Lago di Garda and Lago d'Iseo.
The coffee may be inspired by fast-paced Milan, but the intermittent calm still comes from Brescia.
Rossa has a 90/10 blend of Arabica and Robusta which results in a well-balanced and very popular taste. If you like the classic taste of Arabica but want to give a little weight to the character, Rossa is the perfect choice. It is no coincidence that Rossa both has a red bag and is named after the color red.
The fiery color not only stands for the fast-paced taste, it also stands for the warmth that fills both cup and body.
A high Arabica content is preferably brewed at a slightly higher temperature, 92-93 degrees is perfect.
We recommend that you make a ristretto in 27-30 seconds with Rossa. It may sound crazy because a ristretto of 15-20 ml of coffee should actually flow in 18-20 seconds, but with Rossa, a longer brewing time combined with less liquid works really well. Just keep in mind that if you set up the grinder for this type of ristretto brewing, regular espresso will not be good. If you want to drink espresso, you have to set the grinder back to the original setting.
