Assam Chai

Assam Chai is a large-leaved Assam tea from the Assam region of northeastern India. Assam Chai contains cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, coriander and mustard seeds to create a strong spicy tea that is traditionally drunk with warm milk.

To create a chai latte, you start by brewing a small portion of chai tea. While it is brewing, you should skim or heat in a saucepan about the same proportion of milk. Strain the tea or remove the tea strainer and mix in a little honey or sugar to the desired sweetening level. Then pour in the warm milk. Top the chai latte with a little sifted cinnamon or cardamom if you want and enjoy the home-made masterpiece!

Black tea, crushed cloves, cinnamon pieces, black pepper, dried ginger pieces, coriander, mustard seeds, cardamom seeds and whole green cardamom.
