  1. Close the flap of the bean hopper and grind out all the coffee that is in the outlet.
  2. Remove the bean hopper, portion the amount of cleaning needed (on the jar) and pour into the grinder.Grind out all cleaning.
  3. Make an espresso and discard it. More dumping may be needed, so that all detergent disappears from the outlet and does not end up in the coffee.
For a home grinder, you need about half a lid of detergent.
